The Leica 50mm f/0.95 Noctilux-M ASPH has extremely shallow depth of field (DOF) at open aperture which produces portraits and detailed studies of unequalled aesthetic effect. Even when just slightly stopped down, the result is outstanding image quality, comparable to the Leica 50 mm f/1.4 Summilux-M ASPH, which is considered the best standard lens ever produced.
When used in available light photography, the lens exceeds the perception of the human eye. Even the light from one candle can be sufficient for handheld photography. A “floating element” retains high image quality even in the close-up range. Vignetting and distortion have also been visibly improved compared to the 50mm f/1.0.
Please Note: There are very few instances where we feel it is necessary to limit the use of an item. Due to the rarity of this item and the near impossibility of replacement we will only be accepting rentals for its use with range finder equipment, such as the Leica M-series.
Customers will require a certificate of insurance and / or deposit for rental of this item.

LensRentals.com ships via the appropriate FedEx service necessary to have your rental arrive on the date selected. Return shipping is included in the shipping price, and we include a prepaid return label with your order - all you need to do is bring it to a FedEx drop-off location when your rental is complete.
