 Product DescriptionThe Wimberley Type II is a gimbal head for use with heavy supertelephoto lenses. It offers several advantages over generic gimbal heads. First, it is quite a bit lighter. Second, the new knobs and knob placements are clearly sturdier and much easier to adjust (both can be adjusted with the same hand) with the lens in place. The knurled knobs are far, far easier to work with in cold weather with gloves on. You know us and we love a bargain, but sometimes you pay the price because its worth it. The Wimberley Type II is one of those times in our opinion. This head weighs 3.15 pounds and stands 9.25" tall. It requires a 3/8" tripod mount screw.
