The Panasonic Leica DG Summilux 25 mm f/1.4 ASPH Micro 4/3 Lens is a normal range lens designed for micro 4/3 cameras. After the 2x crop factor, you have a very fast 50mm f1.4 lens that works great in low light conditions and lets users achieve a shallow depth-of-field for their images. At f1.4, the bokeh has a very smooth appearance that is ideal for portraits, enabling true subject/background separation. When you do stop down, you still have a smooth transition thanks to the seven blade circular aperture.
This is a Panasonic Leica lens, so you can expect very high quality images with minimal distortion and very low aberrations. It has Nano Surface Coating which corrects for ghosting and flare, as well as two Aspherical and one Ultra High Refractive lenses for optimum contrast and corner-to-corner sharpness.
Please Note: Due to the inability to get a replacement, we are offering the hood by request only.
Please Note: Only Works With Micro 4/3 mount cameras
The lens that has spawned more internet fanboy arguments than any other for micro 4/3 I believe, the Panasonic-Leica is really quite good. Is it the very best? It might be at this focal length. It might not be. But it’s very good. It’s a bit better stopped down to f/2.0 or so, if you can, but it’s quite sharp even wide open.
