It’s back by popular demand! We discontinued this lens some time ago when the Vibration Control version was released, but many people prefer the older version. So it’s back in stock, with brand new copies of the old lens.
A sharp, cost-effective alternative when you don’t need image stabilization in your wide angle f2.8 lens. It’s reasonably small and lightweight, nice and sharp and easy to use.
Only Works With: Crop sensor cameras (T3i, 7D, 60D etc…)

: There’s really no question that this original version is a bit sharper than the newer VC version. I wouldn’t say sharper than the Canon 17-55 f2.8 IS, but it’s not any worse. This is a lot less expensive, and like the Tamron 28-75 f2.8, it’s just a whole lot of bang for your buck.
