The Fuji X20 is a classic-styled point-and-shoot camera with advanced control options featuring a 12MP 2/3" X-Trans sensor. While its predecessor suffered from somewhat slow autofocus performance, the X20 sees the addition of on-chip phase detection AF, greatly improving performance and accuracy.
The X20 has a fast, optically stabilized 28-112mm (35mm equivalent) f/2-2.8 manual zoom lens that gives users the feeling of shooting with an SLR zoom lens, but in a much more compact body. The camera offers users the ability to shoot with a built-in optical viewfinder or compose shots using the 2.8" rear LCD via live-view. The camera also features a dedicated RAW button to easily switch between RAW and JPEG formats, as well as a built-in pop-up fill flash. Other features include 1080p HD video recording (up to 60fps at full resolution), multiple film simulation modes, Motion Panarama mode, built-in electronic horizon level, and four diverse auto-bracketing modes.
The X20 takes SDHC/XC memory cards for large storage capabilities.

When the Fuji X10 was released, it was a very good option within the high-end compact camera market. It had its downfalls, but it was still a solid performer. With the X20, you get an X-Trans sensor similar to the one found found in the X-Pro1, X-E1, and X100s, but at a reduced size. While it doesn’t have the same image quality and high ISO performance as the above mentioned cameras, it’s still quite good for a P&S. Autofocus is much better this time around, and the focus confirmation and exposure information in the optical viewfinder make it truly useful now. While the Sony RX100 gives it a run for the money in terms of image quality, the X20 has a better lens and the optical viewfinder could be enough of a reason to go with the Fuji. It you’re looking for a compact P&S, the X20 is a strong candidate.
