Summilux 23mm f/1.7 ASPH lens
Manual shutter-speed, aperture, and focusing dials
Full HD video capture at 30 fps
The Leica X (Typ 113) is a large-sensor compact camera with a built-in fast-aperture prime lens, and a sibling to the Leica X-E. Key features include:
16MP APS-C Sensor. Using the same sensor as the X-E, the X113 produces high-quality images with very good low-light performance. The eleven-point contrast-detection autofocus system gives you decent autofocus speeds with good accuracy.
Summilux 23mm f/1.7 ASPH Lens. This fast-aperture lens provides a 35mm equivalent with a dedicated manual focus ring. The f/1.7 aperture not only enables great depth-of-field control, but also enables great low-light performance.
Manual Controls. There are manual dials for shutter speed, aperture, and focusing. A quick button press lets you adjust exposure compensation and ISO using the rear control dials.
Full HD Video Capture. The X113 can record full HD videos at 1920 × 1080p at 30 fps. Its internal mic uses a wind-cut filter to maintain clear audio.
Other Notable Features. Unlike its sibling, the X113 offers a 3.0-inch high-resolution rear LCD for image composition and review. It also accepts the higher-quality Leica Visoflex Typ 020 EVF via the accessory shoe (separate rental item). There’s a retractable pop-up flash for quick fill, a hot shoe for using an optional more powerful external flash, and native DNG raw files. Images are recorded to SDHC/XC memory cards, and the included rechargeable battery offers roughly 350 shots per charge.
