The Tamron 90mm f/2.8 SP Di VC USD Macro for Canon is an updated version of the popular Tamron 90mm f/2.8 SP Di Macro. It features built-in Vibration Control to aid in eliminating camera shake when shooting handheld, while it’s f/2.8 aperture provides the user with great shallow depth of field performance. A major addition to the this version of the 90mm is the USD autofocus motor for fast, smooth, and quiet operation. It’s full time manual focus design allows for simple adjustment if needed, and the internal focusing system keeps the barrel from extending or turning during use, especially usefully when working at extreme 1:1 macro distances.
Its new 11 group / 14 element optical formula includes two extra-low dispersion elements and one low dispersion element for reduced chromatic aberrations. A newly developed eBAND hybrid lens coating combines conventional multi-coating with a layer of nano-structured coating to minimize flares and ghosting. The extra large and ridged focus ring and moisture resistant construction makes it’s build quality equal it’s high optical quality.
