A Slate for Ants?! It’s not quite that small, but at just 8.25-inches long, the Denecke TS-C Compact Time Code Slate is surprisingly tiny. It will easily fit in or on your bag or tool belt for use at a moment’s notice.
Professional Features. Despite its small size the TSC is still feature rich. It has a colored wooden clapper, EL (electro-luminescent) backlit surface, and bright timecode readout.
Automatic Frame Rate Selection. This clapboard has a 16 bit flash processor for all-day SMPTE/EBU time code accuracy from its low-drift TCXO (temperature compensated crystal oscillator). Frame rate selection is automatic with a sync error warning for mismatched rates.
Time Code Inputs. Time code can be sent to the Denecke TS-C via a 1/4" phono or 5-pin LEMO jack with modes for manual and automatic jam. The slate can also configured as a +1 frame reader for a real time display.
Power. The clap board will require six batteries for operation. Standard AA batteries will work great, but we offer a Rechargeable AA Battery 8-Pack Travel Kit that will save you a trip to the drug store.
