Personally, I love the working distance you get with this lens and the images it produces. Autofocus can be described as “leisurely at best”, but that’s really not an issue with a Macro lens. I find it works best if I manually focus to the vicinity of the subject, then turn on autofocus if I want to (although generally I don’t). It’s small enough to carry around and shoot handheld, but has a tripod mount in case you want to get steadier shots or shoot it from rails.
