Full disclosure first: I love primes, and this prime was my first love. It’s special—one of those lenses that other photographers go “What did you shoot that with?” when they see the print. I use it a lot for head and shoulder portraits when I want some space between myself and the subject. This lens is also great for photographing kids and toddlers when you want to be far enough away to catch spontaneous shots.
