Now With Quick Release! Attaching a camera to a Glidecam HD 4000 was cumbersome to say the least and one of the more unpleasant aspects of set up. With the Glidecam HD-PRO, you’ll now get a more standard sliding quick release plate.
Mechanical Gimbal. The HD-PRO, at its most basic, is a handle that’s attached to a free-floating gimbal. The counterweights keep the camera horizontal even with back-and-forth or up-and-down movements. Like the HD 4000, the HD-PRO can handle up to 10 lbs. of camera and equipment.
Superhuman Forearms Suggested. If you plan to use this gimbal near max payload for more than a few minutes at a time, your arms are likely to give out, but we have a solution. The HD-PRO can attach to the Glidecam X-10 Dual Support Arm Stabilizer Vest System (not included) to redistribute weight to your torso and greatly extend your shooting time. For long shoot days, it’s a must.
