Multi-Focus Autofocus System. This system uses two synchronized stepping autofocus motors to deliver fast, smooth, highly accurate, and nearly silent operation. You also get full-time manual focusing for precision adjustments, and the clickless control ring and ability to suppress focus breathing make it great for video capture. An 11.8-inch minimum focusing distance lets you get in close. Regardless of which focusing distance you’re using, the Multi-Focus System delivers razor-sharp clarity.

Advanced Optics. The 35mm’s fifteen-group/seventeen-element optical system includes one aspherical element and three extra-low dispersion elements for sharpness, clarity, and accurate color rendering. Meso Amorphous, ARNEO, and Nano Crystal coatings help keep ghosting, reflections, and flares at bay, while multiple elements include a Super Integrated Multicoating to further ensure consistent color accuracy.

Weather-Resistant Build, Intuitive Controls. This lens’s durable, moisture-resistant construction means you can use it in adverse conditions without worry.
