What’s In The Box? The DC-S1H is a hybrid photo/video mirrorless camera, and this Panasonic Lumix BS1H Full-Frame Cinema Camera comes equipped with all the same video features of the S1H, in a more compact, box-style camera housing that can be conveniently mounted on gimbals and hard to reach places. Please note, the BS1H does not have a built-in interface and will require an external monitoring solution in order to access camera settings.
PoE+, and Other Power Options. In addition to the included AC adapter, the BS1H can be powered by separately available batteries like the Panasonic AG-VBR118G High Capacity Battery, and you can pick up a dual charger here. The camera also supports Power-over-Ethernet, which allows for power and remote control for up to 12 BS1H cameras and streaming over a single cat6 or better cable.
24.2 MP, Full-Frame Sensor. The BS1H features a 24.2 MP full-frame sensor with a native ISO sensitivity up to 51,200. Using software, however, the camera can support dual native ISO 50 to 204,800, which extends the dynamic range in more shooting situations, especially when paired with the camera’s preinstalled V-Log L.
DCI 4K At 60 Frames Per Second. Options for DCI and UHD 4K are included here. The camera supports 4K/60p in 4:2:0 10-bit, and can even reach 6K and anamorphic 4K recording. High frame rate shooting is available at up to 240 fps in 1080p.
V-Log Installed. Panasonic did everyone a solid and decided to preinstall V-Log and V-Gamut on all copies of this camera, and it’s compatible with the “Cinema VariCam Look” as well. This provides an extremely flat gamma curve and image that’s capable of 14-stops of dynamic range for additional latitude when grading your footage. The BS1H supports outputting RAW over HDMI and video over SDI simultaneously.
Timecode In/Out. BNC Timecode and Genlock ports allow for professional time code and sync options without the need for adapters. RJ45 Gigabit LAN also allows for network syncing.
Need a Memory Card? You’ll need an ultra-fast memory card for a camera this powerful, and we recommend the Sony 128GB SF-G Tough Series UHS-II SDXC. This camera can take full advantage of its superior 299 MB/s max write speed and 300 MB/s max read speed for high-resolution, high-bitrate capture.
