Next Gen S35 Sensor. With the RED DIGITAL CINEMA KOMODO-X 6K, experience a fully redesigned S35 sensor that offers key improvements to its architectural setup while producing excellent image quality and color science. This sensor also features enhanced shadow detail and color and frame rates up to 80 fps in 6K and up to 120p in 4K.
Compact and For Canon RF. The KOMODO-X 6K is just as notably compact as its predecessors, and maintains compatibility with DSMC3 accessories and features, but is also compatible with the upcoming PRO I/O Module for auxiliary power and full-size Gold and V-Mount battery use. This unit also incorporates a full-size, 6-pin 11-17VDC power input, and comes with a reinforced, locking Canon RF lens mount for use with a wide range of RF mounted lenses. Fret not if you’re an ARRI-PL fan, you can just use the RED RF to PL adapter.
LCD and Audio Interface. While the 2.9-inch integrated LCD is great for preview images and application of simple controls, this cinema camera pairs well with the separately available DSMC3 7-inch Touch LCD for more precise monitoring and full setting control without the clutter of cables. Improved audio options include a locking, phantom-powered 5-pin connector that can be used with a 3.5mm adapter or with a dual XLR adapter and a wide array of microphones.
IP Connectivity. The KOMODO-X 6K streamlines IP workflows like Virtual Production and live broadcasting using a USB-C interface and an integrated Wi-Fi function. This is easily controlled via the RED Control or Control Pro apps and eliminates the need for a separate remote control. To obtain 6K streaming, we recommend you add a RED Connect License to broadcast over IP directly from the camera.
