Let There Be Light Tubes. In the beginning, there were Fresnel cinema lights. For sure, they’ve come along way since ARRI introduced theirs in 1937, but still, sometimes you just need a low profile lighting solution that can be tucked into a scene without disrupting the flow of action. Sometimes you need a light tube. When you need a light tube that just works, you need a Quasar Science.
Three Tube Kit. This lighting kit contains three LED tube lights: one each of the 24", 12", and 5" making up a versatile three-point lighting set, suitable for portrait photography and interview lighting. These fixtures are compact and lightweight, ideal for tight spaces or difficult lighting situations. The kit comes complete with a rugged, impact-resistant travel case. The custom foam interior holds all the pieces safely in place so you can travel with confidence.
Integrated Lithium-Ion Batteries. The integrated lithium-ion batteries can operate the fixtures up to 4 hours at 100% output. The built-in battery indicator shows your charge status at a glance. If you’re running low on charge, the lights can also be connected to the charger and operated while charging. Setting the lights up in minutes without having to string power cables or connect external batteries makes for a smooth workflow and allows you to focus that much more on your shoot instead of gear-wrangling.
Single Recessed Easy-To-Use Control Button. The LED tubes offer three selectable color temperatures and simple stepped dimming using one control button. Press and hold the button to change the color temperatures from 3000k, 4300k, and 5600k. Scroll through preset output levels of 100%, 75%, 50%, 25%, 10%, and off for quick and easily repeatable setups, and output is flicker-free at any output level.
Magnetic and 3/8-16" Mounting Options. Compact and lightweight, these lights can be mounted via the 3/8"-16 socket or simply stuck in place on metal surfaces with its magnetic base. Included are (3) 3/8"-16 Baby Pin Adapters, allowing for a stand mounting option.
