Intuitive Vocal-Effects Processor. The Roland AIRA Compact E-4 Voice Tweaker is a vocal-effects processor with an ultra-compact build and an intuitive, tactile interface. Just plug a mic into the 1/4" input—you can also plug an inline headset mic into the 3.5mm jack—and you’re ready to alter your voice with a range of traditional and outré effects, use it as a percussion instrument, turn it into a soundscape, or loop and layer it.
Harmony In Your Head. The E-4’s battery of automatic harmony effects lets you set and apply key and chord voicings to your own voice on the fly, while the Auto Pitch feature lets you make small tuning adjustments or go all out and use tuning as an effect T-Pain style.
Loops of Fury. A 24-second looper gives you the means to do some wild textural work with your voice. You can overdub multiple layers of processed vocals and then use the Scatter knob to chop the results and get other unique effects.
Robot Is Systematic. You can use the Voice Tweaker to instantly give yourself a robot voice, drastically pitch your voice up and down, or process your voice so heavily that it becomes something completely otherworldly. There’s also a powerful vocoder that you can combine with an array of on-board synth waveforms and pitch functions, or with sounds from your own external MIDI devices. Get Yourself Connected. You can connect a conventional mic to the front 1/4" jack and use the E-4 to augment your studio work or live performances. You can also connect a headset mic to the 3.5mm input and use the E-4 to alter your voice while you’re streaming or podcasting. The E-4 syncs with other compact Roland AIRA instruments like the T-8 drum machine and the J-6 chord synth for additional range, and it can interface with DAWs, mobile music apps, hardware synths, and other instruments via USB-C or MIDI.
