The Canon WFT-R10A Wireless Transmitter enables wired and wireless LAN image transfer with the Canon EOS R5. Key features include:

Wired and Wireless LAN File Transfers. While the Canon EOS R5 does have some built-in wireless transfer capability, the WFT-R10A improves on that with a faster 802.11ac/c 2×2 MIMO Technology that’s capable of up to 867 Mb/s. Standard 802.11b/g/n at 2.4 GHz and 802.11ac/a/n at 5 GHz are also available options for compatibility with different networks. If you prefer the wired route, the transmitter grip features a single RJ45 ethernet connection.
Supports FTP. Professional workflows sometimes require advanced remote transfer options, including FTP and encryption. The WFT-R10A allows configuring for direct image transfer from the camera to local or offsite servers using FTP, FTPS, and SFTP.
Doubles as a Vertical Battery Grip. As a vertical battery grip the WFT-R10A offers the expected advantage of easier operation for vertical shooting. It holds two LP-E6NH/LP-E6N/LP-E6 battery packs, one of which powers the camera while the other powers the wireless transmitter. It also has vertical controls, including dials, a multi-controller, and shutter release. Additionally, it is dust- and moisture-resistant to match the camera.
Multi-Camera Sync. One camera can connect to up to ten receiver cameras (all equipped with the WFT-R10A) via wireless LAN for remote multi-camera shooting or to sync time of all the cameras.
Need Additional Batteries? We include one battery with the rental of this wireless transmitter grip. If you are also renting a camera from us, you’ll receive one battery with it. If you need any additional batteries, we offer LP-E6, LP-E6N and LP-E6NH batteries as separate rental items.

It requires an involved setup that may take some time and understanding of networking to perform, so please allow yourself time to read the manual and familiarize yourself with the process. We can only offer support for physically connecting the transmitter to the camera because its setup varies greatly depending on how your wireless network is configured.
