Teradek Bolt Wireless System. The Teradek Bolt 4K lineup consists of various Bolt 4K modules with different wireless ranges and battery plates, designed for use with SmallHD’s Smart 7 series monitors. As a result, we have quite a few configurations in this ecosystem, with this listing being a Director’s kit, consisting of the INDIE 7 monitor, a Bolt 4K 1500 RX, and the SmallHD Handles and Neck Strap package. All Bolt 4K modules are cross compatible, meaning no matter which versions you choose for your workflow, they’ll work together.
Bolt 4K 1500 RX Module. This SmallHD Director’s INDIE 7 w/ Bolt 4K 1500 RX (Gold Mount) features an attached Teradek Bolt 4K 1500 RX Monitor Module with a Gold Mount battery plate. We do not include batteries or a charger, but you can find them for rental separately here.
Director’s Package. This kit comes with the SmallHD Handles and Neck Strap package pre-installed, turning this into a fully wireless and mobile setup designed for directors who need to move around the set quickly and frequently, while keeping an eye on footage.
Wireless On-Set Monitoring. Any Teradek Bolt 4K transmitter can transmit 4K, 30fps footage up to 1500-feet away to 6 of these 4K 1500 receivers simultaneously with less than 0.001 seconds of latency. That’s faster than the human eye can blink! The Bolt 4K RX contains an HDMI adapter that plugs directly into the HDMI input on the SmallHD monitor, so no need for any extra cables.
Compatible With All Bolt 4K Modules. In case you glossed over it before, all Teradek Bolt 4K modules are cross compatible, meaning this kit will work with any Bolt 4K transmitter, so even if you have different Bolt 4K modules, they’ll work together seamlessly.
SmallHD INDIE 7. The SmallHD INDIE 7 Touchscreen On-Camera Monitor’s 1000 cd/m² display is daylight viewable while keeping black levels black. The 10-bit touchscreen panel uses IPS LCD tech for great color reproduction and contrast with full coverage of the Rec709 colorspace.
HDMI & SDI Inputs & Outputs. An HDMI adapter is included to send video from the Bolt 4K receiver to the monitor, but the monitor also includes 3G-SDI I/O as well. 3G-SDI format support maxes out at 1080/120i and 1080/60p in 10-bit YCC 4:2:2.
Feature-Rich PageOS 4 Toolset. Expanded options include the output of 3D LUT previews to downstream devices, image capture, overlays, custom scaling, anamorphic desqueeze, peaking, false color, Waveform, Zebras, RGB parade, histogram, and on-screen audio meters. An SD card slot lets you add custom LUTs, and save and share settings to other monitors. Please note that this rental doesn’t include an SD card.
