This kit includes Heavy Duty SmallRig Top Handle 2000 and Top Plate 1958, both of which were designed specifically for Blackmagic Ursa Mini/Mini Pro and the original URSA EVF. Providing protection for the top of the camera while aiding in transport, the top handle kit also adds a sturdy anchor point for additional accessories.
The D-Shaped top handle features an integrated 15mm rod clamp and cold shoe for easy microphone and monitor add-ons. Both top handle and plate have multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes, further extending the possibilities of attaching accessories or devices.
Compatibility. The SmallRig Top Handle Kit is compatible with all URSA Mini and URSA Mini Pro models. Additionally, it allows Mini users to properly attach the Blackmagic Design URSA Viewfinder, which was originally designed only for use with the full size Blackmagic URSA.
Please note: Our Blackmagic Design URSA Mini and URSA Mini Pro Premium Kits and the Blackmagic Design Shoulder Mount Kit for URSA Mini, include a Blackmagic top handle kit similar in design to the SmallRig version here. Unless you need the extra mounting points provided on the SmallRig version, you won’t need this top handle if renting any of the kits above.
