The Sound Devices PIX 240i is a legacy video recording unit capable of capturing HD video from SDI or HDMI sources and is the predecessor to the PIX-E5. Key features include:
Capture and Playback Versatility. The PIX 240i records to compact flash cards or removable 2.5-inch solid-state hard drives in the exFAT format. The recorder is capable of capturing videos in either Apple ProRes or Avid DNxHD, both of which are ideal for editorial workflows such as video processing and on-the-fly color grading.
Compatible with External Mixers and Recorders. The PIX 240i is compatible with external audio mixers and digital audio recorders, which extends the flexibility of the recorder’s on-board inputs and enhances audio input/output control.
Power Options. This recorder can be powered using an external DC power (10-18 V) or two Sony L-type batteries.
