Tamron—a company known for their budget-friendly zooms—introduces their first semi-wide angle prime lens, the Tamron 35mm f/1.8 SP Di VC USD. Key features include:
Fast f/1.8 Aperture Semi-Wide Angle. The fast f/1.8 aperture is great in low light, and keeps you shooting everywhere between the dim and the dark. The fast aperture also enables moderately wide-angle images with a shallow depth of field. The 35mm focal length has long been a staple for landscape, street, and all-around general photography.
Higher Quality Standards. The 35mm f/1.8 joins Tamron’s prosumer SP (Super Performance) line, meaning that it features improved build and image quality over previous Tamron lenses.
Ring-Type USD Autofocus System. An Ultrasonic Silent Drive motor provides fast, precise, and quiet autofocus performance. It also enables full-time manual focus control without having to shift into a dedicated manual-focus mode.
Built-In VC Image Stabilization. The built-in vibration compensation minimizes the appearance of camera shake for sharper hand-held shooting in low-light conditions.
TAP-in Compatible. This lens is compatible with Tamron’s TAP-in Console for Nikon.
