Ultra-Wide 1:1 Macro. This unique lens offers 1:1 macro magnification with an ultra-wide perspective. This is great for accentuating exaggerated perspectives. It provides full-frame coverage for macro compatibility, and its 4.7-inch minimum focusing distance (0.2-inch working distance) makes it possible to shoot in extremely tight spaces.
Perspective Control. In addition to being a true 1:1 macro lens, the Venus 15mm Macro features +/- 6mm of vertical shift adjustment with APS-C sensor coverage. This lens focuses out to infinity, making it an ideal candidate for architectural use.
Optics. The Laowa 15mm’s twelve-element/nine-group design minimizes distortion. Internal focusing also helps in that regard, and prevents barrel extension. The nearly circular fourteen-blade aperture renders a creamy background blur.
Fully Manual Lens. This is a fully manual lens that provides no electronic communication with the camera. You must manually make all aperture and focus adjustments on the lens itself, and lens information is not transferred through EXIF data.
