Portable Design, Simultaneous Recording. The AJA HELO Plus is a compact, portable, stand-alone device that allows for simultaneous recording while shooting a game, recording a news broadcast, filming your webcast of the week, and so much more. This streamer & recorder allows you to stream to two destinations and record up to 1080p60 video to local SD card storage, USB storage or NFS/CIFS network storage. The stream and record buttons are placed on the front panel of this device, where you’ll also find a USB port, SD card slot, and an LED screen to check video and audio level indicators.

More On Dual Streaming Outputs. This device uses dual encoders for its streaming outputs, offering the flexibility to create different output settings from a single input source. These two encoders can be set to different packaging settings and different output frame sizes, enabling a single content stream to be presented in two ways to serve a wider audience. A single stream can also be duplicated across both encoders for added resilience. Either of these encoder outputs can serve as the source for the HELO Plus recording system as well.

Calendar Integration & MultIple-Input Layouts. Through the HELO Plus’ web UI, importing .ics files, or linking to external schedulers like Google Calendar, you have the option of pre-planning the start/stop of your recording, whether it be for AV, live events, houses of worship, webcasting, corporate communications, production, or post projects requiring definitive schedules. Additionally, this device allows you to combine multiple SDI and HDMI inputs into a single screen with a graphic element overlay with up to three layers. Each live video source can be downscaled for PiP use with internally generated mattes positioned over the PiP element, while up to 10 layouts can be stored and recalled in each of the 20 presets and 90+ images can be stored internally.

Can’t Lose Control. The options to either locally or remotely record allow you to configure all of the functions of the HELO Plus via a web browser using your Ethernet connection, or on your laptop/desktop computer to control multiple HELO Plus units using a tabbed web browser. After setup, you can use the WebUI to control your HELO Plus unit using its front-panel buttons and audio meters, or by using REST API remote control.

Support That Stream. The HELO Plus uses SRT (plus encryption) to deliver streaming video content securely with low latency and secure reliability, allowing you to optimize streaming performance across unpredictable networks with secure streams and easy firewall traversal, producing the high-quality live video over the network.
