What’s Changed? This 2021 iteration of the iPad Pro 12.9-inch boasts a few improvements over its predecessor. The all-new M1 processor gives you increased performance with improved power efficiency while the eight-core graphics processor makes video editing and game performance buttery smooth. Cameras are unchanged from the previous generation but still offer top-of-the-line quality. liDAR increases AR performance, and Wi-Fi 6 allows for the fastest wireless speeds currently available.

12.9-Inch Liquid Retina Display. The Apple iPad Pro 12.9-inch M1 (Wi-Fi) 512GB 2021’s display boasts a wide color gamut and native resolution of 2732 × 2048 at 264 ppi. The responsive touchscreen allows for simple control of the tablet, as well as the more advanced gesture commands of iOS. We include a Gen 2 Apple Pencil for even finer control.

Apple M1 Processor. This tablet packs some serious processing power. The iPad Pro features a redesigned M1 processor with an 8-core CPU and 8-core GPU, allowing for quicker loading apps and impressive performance with less drain on battery. A 16-core Neural Engine and 8GB of RAM assist with photo and video processing and AR applications like Matterport Capture for 3D room scanning and virtual tours.

Wi-Fi 6, Bluetooth 5.0. Bluetooth 5.0 provides lower power draw and higher quality audio. Wi-Fi 6 or 802.11ax makes sure you have the fastest available wireless speeds from Wi-Fi 6 wireless access points.

512GB Storage Capacity. This unit comes equipped with 512GB of fast Flash storage for instant access to your downloaded apps and saved videos or photos.

Apple Pencil. The iPad Pro is compatible with Apple’s second-generation pencil for note taking, drawing, or when you need pinpoint control of applications. We include one with the rentable version of this iPad only.

Apple iOS. This iPad is loaded with the latest operating system, so you can take advantage of the most recent improvements. The elegant and intuitive interface is straightforward and easy to use. If you own an iPhone, you know exactly what you’re getting.

To ensure your privacy, we erase all user data on our iPads as a routine part of our return-inspection process. You can do a full reset of the device yourself at the end of your rental, but please note that you will be unable to use the device afterwards.

Q & A

Will I receive a SIM card with my rental?

No. This is the Wi-Fi only (and no GPS) version and will not accept a SIM card.

Does this rental include an Apple Pencil?

Yes. We include a Gen 2 Apple Pencil with this rental.

Does this tablet come preloaded with anything?

The iPad will arrive with the default apps. Log in with your own Apple Account to install new or previously purchased apps.

Can I use Sidecar with this iPad?

Yes, so long as you’re logged into your Apple Account on both devices.

Do I need to reset the iPad before or after my rental?

You don’t have to reset the iPad yourself, as this is part of our standard inspection protocol. However, if you want to at the end of your rental, you can!
Please note that once the iPad is reset, you will be unable to access it afterwards and we can not grant access remotely, so if you choose to do a full reset, we advise you do so just before you return your rental.

How do I charge the Apple Pencil?

The Gen 2 Apple Pencil charges by magnetically attaching to the right side of the Apple iPad Pro.

Does this iPad have GPS capabilities?

No. This Wi-Fi only version of the 2021 iPad 12.9-inch does not have GPS capabilities and will not be compatible with applications that require it.
