The Blackmagic Design Gold Mount Battery Plate for URSA Cine attaches to the rear of your URSA Cine camera body to enable Gold Mount battery power. This plate accepts a variety of third-party Gold Mount batteries, like the Anton Bauer Dionic XT90 Gold Mount Battery and Core SWX Helix Max 98Wh Dual-Voltage Battery – Gold Mount, which is currently the only battery that currently supports the full 60fps+ capabilities of the URSA Cine.

Does the battery plate have any power limitations?

Yes. When running the URSA Cine When using the plate with 12- to 18-volt batteries to power the URSA Cine you won’t have access to frame rates above 60 fps and you won’t be able to power accessories via the RS and EXT outputs.
Operating in the 24 to 34 voltage range is ideal for use with URSA Cine as the higher voltage reduces thermal losses allowing for high frame rate recording and powering multiple accessories from the camera.
