Revolutionary 17K Sensor. The Blackmagic Design URSA Cine 17K 65 w/ Power Adapter (PL) sports a stellar new sensor designed to capture cinema-quality imaging at all resolutions from 4K to 17K. Building on the technology of the URSA Mini Pro 12K, this sensor provides larger photo-sites that lead to 16 stops of dynamic range. At all resolutions, this camera delivers rich, quality colors thanks to its unique RGBW architecture.

Format Friendly. The URSA Cine’s large-format sensor creates a flexible environment for aspect ratios, lenses, and delivery formats. With a stunning 2.2:1 open gate image, you can easily reframe your shots in post-production. There’s plenty of benefits to this redesigned sensor, including the ability to shoot in 4K, 8K, 12K, or 17K using the entire sensor without cropping and retaining the full field-of-view.

Monitoring and Camera Control. To monitor your productions, the URSA Cine sports a fold-out monitor with a 5-inch touchscreen on one side and an external color status LCD on the other. With the dedicated assist station located on the right-side of the camera, you have access to another 5-inch HDR touchscreen that helps prevent the need for external monitors.

Inputs and Outputs. To meet the demands of high-end productions, the URSA Cine is packed out with connections all around. You’re provided with 7-pin LEMO and 3-pin Fischer connectors for record start/stop, a standard 24V 8-pin LEMO connector for camera power, and an additional 2-pin LEMO 12V connection to power lower-voltage accessories. For external monitoring, you have access to two 12G-SDI outputs, plus a 10G Ethernet connection for syncing to Blackmagic Cloud media.

Built-In Filters. The integrated OLPF is precisely matched to that stellar sensor we’ve chatted about, and is designed to minimize the interference that comes along with shooting materials and fabrics.

Internal Recording Available. This URSA Cine is the first digital film camera that comes equipped with the ultra-fast Blackmagic Media Module to internally store up to 8TB of footage! This storage solution allows you to record at the highest resolutions and frame rates for hours, and even access your files over 10G Ethernet. If you’re using several URSA Cine cameras with the modules, you can add up to three of them to the separately available Blackmagic Design Media Dock to gain access to more files at once, speeding up post-production and turnaround times.

Wireless Capabilities and Streaming. Like most cameras of this generation, the URSA Cine is capable of WiFi and 10G Ethernet connections. With a built-in hardware engine that supports RTMP and SRT streaming, the URSA Cine can stream directly to clients or major streaming platforms. While live streaming, you can use the USB-C port to connect an Apple or Android device to gain internet connection!

Blackmagic OS. Equipped with Blackmagic OS, the URSA Cine is an intuitive device with user-friendly controls. This operating system allows each of the camera’s features run independently, resulting in smoother control of the camera. With this interface, you’ll tap and swipe to adjust settings and features. All advanced features, like on-screen focus and exposure tools, HDR, metadata entry, and Blackmagic RAW settings, can be accessed and controlled with ease!

Lens Mount. Use your high-end cinema lenses on your URSA Cine camera with this PL Lens Mount from Blackmagic Design. Designed to easily integrate with the URSA Cine camera, this compact, interchangeable adapter facilitates the seamless employment of PL lenses with your camera. This adapter includes contact pins to read and record lens metadata.

Power Supply. The included Blackmagic Design 24V 250W Power Supply for URSA Cine outputs 24V, 250W power to the camera through its 8-pin LEMO connector.
