A Modern Lens with Character. With the Canon CN-E 35mm T1.5 FP X Sumire, you get a lens designed to produce warm, pleasing facial close-ups with natural-looking, round out-of-focus highlights for smooth bokeh. This unique effect is heightened as you widen the aperture.

4K Ready. The Sumire Prime lenses offer extremely sharp optics in a traditional video-lens housing. Its optics and coatings have been optimized for cinema use, with resolving power all the way up to 4K. The eleven-blade stepless aperture diaphragm accommodates minute exposure adjustments to produce this lens’s signature bokeh and out-of-focus highlights.

Geared Rings. Both focus and iris rings are geared, allowing the use of any standard follow focus. Both sides of the lens are marked in phosphorescent paint for easy focus and aperture control from behind the camera, even in low light. It offers a focus-rotation angle of approximately 300°, allowing for long focus throws.

Standardized Features. All the lenses in the Sumire series feature a 114mm front diameter, a 300° rotation angle, and unified gear positions on the focus and iris rings, enabling quick and easy lens change when using accessories like follow focuses, matte boxes, and lens-control motors. Aside from the 14mm, the front of every lens in the series accepts a 105mm-diameter threaded filter.

PL Mount. This lens is designed to cover both full-frame and Super 35mm camera sensors. Its standard ARRI PL mount makes it compatible with a wide variety of professional cinema cameras.
