The Canon RF 20mm f/1.4 L VCM belongs to Canon’s advanced EOS R line, which offers a wide-diameter mount that allows RF lenses to sit close to an EOS R sensor for reduced aberrations, increased sharpness, and better light-gathering abilities. This click-stopped ring can be customized to a setting of your choice: shutter speed, aperture, ISO, and exposure compensation. This can be changed in the Custom Functions menu of an EOS R-series camera. This is a great feature for settings you access most frequently. To assign additional controls, there is also a mappable function button.
Try it with These RF-Mount Cameras. The portable nature of this lens makes it a great option for shooters on the go and pairs well with slightly more compact cameras like the Canon EOS R8 and the Canon EOS RP. However, this full-frame lens can be used with any EOS R-series, RF-mount camera. On a cropped-sensor (APS-C) EOS R camera, the Canon RF 20mm f/1.4 L VCM produces an effective focal length of approximately 32mm.
