The Canon WFT-E6A Wireless Transmitter is designed for use with the Canon EOS 1DX. Key features include:
It offers wireless-only LAN data transfer thanks to its IEEE 802.11n support. Its built-in Bluetooth functionality (v2.1 + EDR) allows it to connect to Bluetooth-compatible GPS devices for high-capacity data transfers.
For studio photographers, this transmitter allows wireless camera control via Canon’s EOS Utility Software (not included) from a Wi-Fi-connected computer. For event photographers, the transmitter’s wireless time-syncing function ensures that image files always have accurate timestamps in their metadata.
The WFT-E6A also allows remote linking of up to ten cameras, making it possible to record the same subject from multiple points of view. It features a dustproof and waterproof design, allowing you to shoot in nearly any environment. It pulls power from the camera itself and requires no additional battery.
According to the manufacturer, it has a wireless LAN range of approx. 492 ft./150m, with the linked shooting range at approx. 328 ft./100m from the master camera when signal strength is favorable.
