FREEFLY’s philosophy behind this unit is to make it as easy to use as any run-of-the-mill camera—all you have to do is start recording and stop recording to gain optimal images and color. With upgrades to its predecessor, the FREEFLY Wave, this unit offers a global shutter and continuous recording of high-speed footage directly to its internal 4TB SSD.

Body Talk. This unit offers a new Gpixel sensor that shoots 5K at 600fps and 4K at 800fps, with guaranteed clean shadows and higher dynamic range. With its integrated NATO rail, accessory options are endless. All ports are located at the top of this camera, making rig setup that much easier.

Apple Pro-Res. This is the fastest camera to use Apple Pro-Res technology, offering a smooth blend of image quality, ease of use, and data-rate optimization. Just plug into the USB-C port to transfer footage, bada bing bada boom. FREEFLY has also rolled out an Ember iOS app to enable you to go from shooting to sharing in mere seconds, and gives you wireless control over your rig. This camera currently only records in up to Apple ProRes 422 LT.

Positive-Lock E Mount with No Electronic Control. This camera tightly secures to E-mount lenses thanks to its positive-lock E mount. This mount doesn’t feature any electronic communication, so you won’t be able to use photo-style E-mount lenses that require power and communication through the mount.
