The Fujinon 10×70 FMT-SX Polaris Binocular is a high-water mark for consumer-grade astronomy binoculars, but it’s also great for birding, marine use, and myriad other applications. It transmits >95% of the light that reaches it. Each of its optical surfaces has up to thirteen Fujinon EBC multi-coatings, it has a wide 7.0mm exit pupil diameter, and it’s equipped with flat-field, distortion-free eyepieces that accept polarizer, nebula, haze, and ND filters.

Durable Build. The 10×70 FMT-SX Polaris’ lenses are nitrogen-purged, and 100% waterproof and fogproof. Its peel-down style rubber eyecups have plenty of relief for eyewear, and it has a broad 56-74mm interpupillary adjustment range for maximum comfort. This binocular’s metal housing sports a pebbled external finish, but please note that it doesn’t have a protective rubber coating. It accepts standard 1/4"-20 tripod adapters.
