Glidecam 2000 Pro with Body Pod

Glidecam 2000 Pro with Body Pod

The Glidecam 2000 Pro is a lightweight, handheld counterweight camera stabilizing system that allows you to take smooth video shots while walking, even jogging or going up and down stairs with a camera up to 6 pounds. The handle is attached to a free floating gimbal and the counterweights keep the camera horizontal even with back -and-forth or up-and-down movements.

The Body Pod is a rigid vest support system that the handle of the Glidecam can attach to, supporting the full weight of the camera and stabilizer on your body, relieving the back and shoulders. Whenever needed the Glidecam’s handle lifts off of the Body Pod’s support allowing you to immediately change to hand-held shooting again.

We’ve put up some “how to” videos to show you the basic set-up and function of the Glidecam. Note that in the videos they use the Glidecam HD4000. Nevertheless this tutorial should be helpful to anyone renting a Glidecam.

Note: The Glidecam 2000 supports camera weights up to 6 pounds. Think dSLRs or JVC HM100 instead of the Sony Z7U.
