The IndiPRO Tools V-Mount Battery Power System replaces the TB50 battery of your Ronin 4D with high-capacity 14.4V V-mount batteries with a minimum 15A current. Key features include:
Select batteries only
Durable, camera-mountable design
9-inch 6-Pin power cable
Only for Ronin 4D
The plate attaches to the back of the Ronin 4D body with M4 screws and connects via a LEMO DC cable.
Yes, it’s compatible with Ronin 4D accessories including the Transmission Plate and SDI/XLR modules, and mounts to the back of the body via standard M4 threads.
No, the manufacturer does not recommend this plate for high-speed or vehicle-mounted shooting. The Z-axis draws the most power exactly when the rig is moving hard, which is where stability problems show up. For locked-off, handheld, or controlled movement, it’s a great fit.
The Ronin 4D is designed around a 22.8V battery. A 14.4V V-mount has to push nearly double the current to deliver the same power, and the 4th-axis (Z-axis) stabilization is the most power-hungry part of the system. Without enough continuous current, that’s the first thing to drop out.
Use a battery rated for at least 15A continuous discharge. Higher-capacity cine batteries with high continuous-load ratings are the safest choice. Lower-rated batteries (10–12A) can work for static and handheld shooting but may struggle when the Z-axis is under load.
The only battery we can recommend as of July 2026 is the Core SWX Helix Max 98Wh Dual-Voltage Battery – V-Mount.
