M-Series Excellence. Leica’s M-series cameras have been a game-changer in the photography world, and it doesn’t stop with this Leica M EV1! This camera revolutionizes the “Leica Look”, offering the same sleek design, but with the addition of a fully-integrated, 5.76m-dot OLED electronic viewfinder. This built-in EVF features 0.76x magnification, diopter adjustment, and covers 100% of the image frame. The rangefinder focusing restrictions in optical viewfinders may have made it difficult in the past, but this integrated system supports ultra-wide, telephoto, macro, and adapted lenses. Additionally, it sports a Digital Zoom function capable of 1.3x or 1.8x frame crops within the image frame, alongside Focus Assistants and an Fn button to facilitate and engage different tools to meet your imaging needs.
Full-Frame BSI CMOS. With the high-resolution imaging of the M11 on board, the M EV1 builds on the same 60MP back-illuminated sensor to deliver reduced noise, incredible clarity in low-light, and rapid readout speeds. Its physical design has also been updated to absorb UR and IV wavelengths with an ultra-thin dual-layer filter glass, resulting in impressive clarity and accurate rendering.
Maestro III and Imaging Features. Boasting a wider sensitivity and ISO range than previous M-system cameras, this unit’s Maestro III processor bridges quality, detailed imaging with faster processing capabilities, even in low light. The processor supports continuous shooting at up to 4.5 frames per second, while the electronic shutter supports 1/16,000 sec shutter speeds.
Leica Content Credentials . Using a secure processing chip, this camera supports Leica’s partnership with the Content Authenticity Initiative (CAI). This technology encrypts your images with metadata as soon as they are captured. This allows viewers to verify the provenance and veracity of the image, and provide a secure way for you to maintain credit for your work!
Design, Power, More. Revised from previous M-series generations, this camera is equipped with a daylight-friendly 2.95" 2.3m-dot touchscreen LCD. To promote intuitive and natural control, the menu layout is modeled after Leica’s Q an SL series cameras. This camera also offers an SD card slot, 64GB of internal memory, power and file transfer via USB-C, and a slot for a single BP-SCL7 Battery.
