Ultra-Compact Travel Kit. The MeFOTO GlobeTrotter breaks down to just 16.1 inches, yet the 5-section tripod extends to 64.2 inches with the center column extended. Additionally, you can remove one leg and use it as a monopod when needed. The included carrying case provides simple transport.

Supports Medium Weight Class. The manufacturer rates this tripod to hold 26.4 lbs., but we’d say 12 to 15 well-balanced lbs. would be a more accurate maximum weight. The carbon-fiber tripod legs keep flex to a minimum and allow the the kit to remain extremely light at 3.7 lbs. with a ballhead attached.

Twist-Lock Design. The tripod legs use a twist-lock system for both leg and center-column extension. There are two leg angle position locks for low-angle shooting, and the recessed center column hook allows you to hang a heavy object from the tripod’s center of gravity for increased stability.

Matched Ballhead. The included dual-action heavy-duty ballhead is compatible with Arca-Swiss type lens plates and uses a knob release to maximize compatibility. It has separate head and pan locks for simplified use, with an integrated bubble level to help straighten your setup faster. We include one small PU-60 quick-release plate that’s sized for camera and small-lens use, but we also carry four different sizes as separate rental items.
