Frequencies and Channels. Operating on 99 UHF business-exclusive frequencies, the RMU2080d also features 219 PL/DPL codes (including 6 customizable codes) to ensure a clear signal. Channel 8 on this device is pre-assigned to receive warnings, watches, forecasts, and other hazard information updates from the National Weather Service 24/7 based on your geographic location. For a more hands-free approach, you can enable Channel Announcement with Voice Alias for notification of what channel is in use, and Advanced Voice Activation (VOX), which can control the whole show just from the sound of your voice. Have an extra channel you don’t need? You can easily disable and skip via the customer programming software (CPS).
