Well, my first question was “why use this when the 14-24 f2.8 is the best wide angle zoom in the world?”. Not to mention, this is an older design with a bit of chromatic aberration in the edges. ...
“ED” stands for “Extra-Low Dispersion” Glass and is a reference to specialized glass used for the correction of chromatic aberrations.
This lens doesn’t have a built-in autofocus motor, which means it’s not fully compatible with Nikon DSLRs like the D40, D60, D3100/D3200, and D5100/D5200.
