The used Nikon ML-L3 Wireless Remote Control is a wireless shutter release for compatible Nikon cameras. It triggers the camera via infrared signal, so your camera must have this feature. Key features include:
Remote Triggering. According to Nikon’s specs, the ML-L3 can trigger a camera up to 16 feet, but this will vary depending on the environment. We’ve tested it up to 50 feet with direct line of sight, so it’s possible when there’s no interference.
Compatibility. While the ML-L3 was originally the only option for low-end DSLRs and Nikon point-and-shoot cameras, several newer Nikon cameras are compatible with it. The ML-L3 does work when shooting in Bulb mode, making long exposure shooting from a lawn chair quite easy. You can view the full compatibility list here.
