MadLock Reduction. Take your exposure reduction to variable levels with the PolarPro Helix Variable ND Filter! This magnetic filter provides 6 to 9 stops of light reduction, a darker image area, wider aperture, and slower shutter speeds for both stills and video capture.

Helix System Okay, here’s how this works; yes, this is a magnetic filter, and no, this filter cannot attach directly to the lens. However, our vast selection of PolarPro Helix/Cineflow Kits include the Helix Base Mount, which acts as the magnetic attachment point. Please note that these kits are required to use this filter correctly.

Rings of Saturn. While the main attachment method is the MagLock design, this filter’s ring features a quarter-turn locking mechanism that allows for secure, easy installation and removal. An additional front ring is your reduction guide with each individual stop making a “click” noise, while a side knurling feature creates a more secure grip with precise adjustments.
