Channel 8 on this device is pre-assigned to receive warnings, watches, forecasts, and other hazard information updates from the National Weather Service 24/7 based on your geographic location. For a more hands-free approach, you can enable Channel Announcement with Voice Alias for notification of what channel is in use, and Advanced Voice Activation (VOX), which can control the whole show just from the sound of your voice. Have an extra channel you don’t need? You can easily disable and skip via the customer programming software (CPS).

The RMU2080d is rugged and durable, and is designed to meet military specifications for sealing against dust, wind, shock, vibration, and other less-than-optimal conditions.
