What’s Changed? The ProGrade CFexpress Type-B/UHS-II SD Dual-Slot Reader offers some substantial improvements to its predecessor, including CFexpress 4.0 Type-B support, 40 Gb/s USB4 interface, and faster data-transfer speeds.

CFexpress Type-B and UHS-II Compatibility. This reader has one CFexpress Type-B slot and one UHS-II SDXC slot, which you can use simultaneously. It’s also backwards compatible with CFexpress 2.0 media.

40 Gb/s USB4 Speeds. This reader takes advantage of the 40 Gb/s USB4 bus to deliver up to 5 GB/s data transfer speed via the USB-C interface. It’s also compatible with Thunderbolt and earlier USB standards, although you won’t see the same high speeds.

Quality-of-Life Features. Securely mounting this reader to your laptop is easier than ever with the built-in adhesive metal plate and magnetic base. An on-board heat sink and fan keep things cool, there’s bus power, and there are LED indicators to let you know when your cards are being read.

Not XQD Compatible. While CFexpress and XQD cards have the same form factor, they are not natively cross-compatible. With that said, the CFexpress memory card slot on this reader only works with CFexpress memory cards. It’s not compatible with XQD memory cards, but we do offer XQD readers!
