Complete QR-Plate Release System. The RED V-RAPTOR Quick Release Platform is a durable and lightweight QR-plate release system that lets you mount and balance your RED V-RAPTOR 8K VV DSMC3 or ST 8K VV DSMC3 Cinema Camera on a tripod.

How it Works. The baseplate features 15mm LWS rod clamps and includes two 15mm, 15" rods, which let you use standard lens supports and accessories like lens motors, matte boxes, and follow-focus units. The baseplate slides onto the included dovetail plate and clamps in place via a lever lock once you find your desired balance point, a spring-loaded safety catch helps keep the Arca plate from sliding off the platform, and a locating pin and rubber grip pads along the top of the Arca plate help prevent your camera from twisting on the plate.

Versatility. The dovetail plate has multiple 1/4"-20 and 3/8"-16 threaded holes along its length for attaching to a tripod, and the Arca plate features two 1/4"-20 threaded holes as well. The combination of the dovetail plate, Arca plate, and sliding platform lets you balance a broad array of shooting configurations. The Quick Release Platform supports optional battery-adapter plates, the RED V-RAPTOR Expander Blade, and the RED Side Ribs for even more versatility.
