Radio….Live Transmission… One of the main components of the RODE Wireless ME Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System is its truly wireless transmitter, designed with an integrated high-caliber microphone, a secure belt clip, and a 3.5mm jack if you decide to hook up your own external mic. The internal omnidirectional mic ensures reliable and clear audio pickup, even if the placement of the mic is less than ideal. Intelligent GainAssist technology guarantees that audio levels from your subject maintains a legible tone.

Receiving End of Things. Like the transmitter included in this kit, the receiver is a completely wireless unit and even includes a shoe mount to connect to a camera, phone, or tablet, making this system a perfect fit for podcasters and vloggers alike. Decked out with its integrated microphone, 3.5mm output jack, USB-C connector, and belt clip, this receiver is perfectly designed for those sometimes tricky voiceovers and interviews. Use the supplied 3.5mm TRS to TRS cable to connect to cameras in a flash, the supplied 3.5mm TRS to TRRS cable to connect to smartphones and mobile devices that have an integrated headphone jack, the supplied lightning cable to connect to Apple and iOS devices, and the supplied USB-C cables to connect to your designated Android device.

Ease of Use Audio. This portable duo is made to be used straight out of the box and right onto set. Its lightweight and compact nature may even make you forget its there, but you’ll still be getting that crisp and clear audio we all want for you, even from lengths of 328 feet away. Although these units work from those great lengths away, we do encourage you to keep everything in line-of-sight to avoid interruptions to your audio. This series’ 2.4 GHz digital transmission incorporates 128-bit encryption for security, stability, and hassle-free operation while bypassing the frustration of dealing with licenses and frequency mandates.

Apps and Features. With this system you have the option of utilizing the Rode Central app using your Android or iOS device to completely control your microphones. With its immediate interface and powerful dual-camera modes, the Rode Capture app is ideal for everything from recording on the street interviews or reporting to creating content for TikTok, Snapchat, or Instagram Reels. Both the transmitter and receiver are fueled via an internal battery that will last up to about 7 hours.

Does this device require batteries?

No. The receiver and transmitter run off of a rechargeable, internal battery and are rated for approximately seven hours of use per charge.

Will I need recording media to record with the Wireless ME?

The RODE Wireless ME Compact Digital Wireless Microphone System does not have the ability to record. Cables are included to connect to your camera or mobile device.

Does this rental include a windscreen?

This rental does not include a windscreen.

How many mics are included with this rental?

Two. The receiver on the Wireless ME also includes a microphone. This allows you to record both the camera operator as well as the on-camera personality to your camera or mobile device.

Does this rental include a lavalier mic?

No. Both the receiver and transmitter have a built-in microphone for capturing audio. This kit does not include an external microphone of any kind.
