True 1:1 Macro. The Sigma 180mm f/2.8 APO Macro OS allows life-size reproduction of your subject. Its 18.5-inch minimum focusing distance makes it a great choice for small insects that may be skittish, yet still gives you a decent working distance.

Telephoto Focal Length. While it’s primarily meant for macro use, with the focus limit switch engaged it can be used for portraits and other telephoto uses.
