Compact Tele Zoom. The Sigma 50-120mm f/2.8 DC OS Contemporary’s build is compact and lightweight. It weighs just over 0.8 lb. and takes 55mm filters. The 75-180mm full-frame equivalent zoom range, constant f/2.8 maximum aperture, and rounded eleven-blade diaphragm make it great for portraiture, landscapes, architectural photography, event photography, and street photography.

High-Quality Optics. As a part of Sigma’s Contemporary lens line, the 50-120mm f/2.8 goes through rigorous testing to ensure high image quality. Its thirteen-group/eighteen-element optical design features one FLD glass element, three SLD glass elements and four aspherical elements that correct for chromatic aberrations and color fringing while ensuring high image sharpness, clarity, and contrast throughout the zoom range. A Super Multi-Layer coating minimizes lens flare and ghosting, helping to provide high contrast even in strong lighting.

Fast, Quiet Autofocus System. The 50-120mm’s integrated stepping autofocus motor provides fast, quiet operation in a broad range of shooting situations, and its optimized AF algorithm helps facilitate smooth performance. You get a 9.1-21.7-inch minimum focusing distance with a 1:3 maximum magnification, letting you take macro-style close-up shots.
