The Sony HXR-NX5U handheld camcorder utilizes three 1/3" CMOS sensors to capture Full HD 1080p. The camcorder also features 29.5-590mm G series lens, XLR inputs, SD card slots, and built in ND filters.
- 20x Optical Zoom. The HXR-NX5U comes equipped with a Sony G-Series lens providing a 29.5mm to 590mm (35mm equivalent) zoom range.
- Capture Professional Audio. This camera features two XLR inputs for connecting high end microphones. Furthermore, the inputs have the ability to supply phantom power and can be leveled individually for 2 channel audio capture.
- Neutral Density Filtration. The NX5U has three ND filters (3, 6, & 9) built into its body. These are invaluable when trying to properly expose on-the-fly.
