High-Quality Optics. The Zeiss ZE 135mm f/2 APO Sonnar for Canon can capture subjects up to a scale of 1:4 and its construction is based on Carl Zeiss’s proven “floating-elements” design. It features eleven elements in eight groups. Because this lens is an apochromat (APO), it uses special glass elements with anomalous partial dispersion to correct axial chromatic aberrations. Aberrations are therefore significantly below the defined limits. This lens reproduces images’ bright-dark transitions and highlights with no color artifacts.

Protective Coatings. As with all other SLR lenses in the ZE line-up, the 135mm f/2 APO Sonnar is treated with Carl Zeiss T* anti-reflective coating and a special deep-black coating to combat reflections and stray light.
