Full-Frame 18.1MP CMOS Sensor. Designed specifically for the unique demands of the motion-picture industry, the Canon 1DC is a breakthrough in hybrid HDSLR technology. The 1DC is able to record 4K (4096 × 2160) and Full HD (1920 × 1080) directly to its on-board CF cards. It features Canon’s full-frame 18.1MP CMOS sensor, which creates perfectly detailed, high-resolution images with unprecedented speed and clarity. It boasts a 100-51,200 ISO range, allowing for outstanding low-light performance.
Dual DIGIC 5+ Processors. This camera uses Dual DIGIC 5+ image processors that deliver speeds of up to 12 fps (RAW + JPEG) and 14 fps (JPEG). The Dual DIGIC 5+ is approximately 17x faster than its predecessor, and features new algorithms that promote greater noise reduction at higher ISOs.
High-Density Autofocus. On the photo side, the 1DC provides a 61-point autofocus system with 6 autofocus-point selection methods, and the ability to burst shoot up to 12 fps in RAW.
