Autofocus. The DJI LiDAR Range Finder for RS can project 43,200 ranging points within a 14-meter area. It features a built-in camera with a 30mm-equivalent focal length and a wide 70° field of view, so it can handle your focusing needs in just about any scenario.
Automatic Manual Focusing. Unlike conventional focusing technology, the LiDAR’s focusing system doesn’t need to rely on your subject’s surface texture. This means it’s particularly useful when you’re shooting in low light and in complex situations with multiple subjects.
Wide and Spot Modes. This range finder supports Wide and Spot Modes. In Wide Mode, it automatically detects the subject and follows focus, while in Spot Mode, you can manually frame the subject or tap the subject to focus.
Pairs with the Focus Motor. You can pair the LiDAR Range Finder with the DJI RS Focus Motor – 2022 to enable cinematic autofocus on manual lenses after calibration. Just press the M button on the gimbal once to switch between manual focus and autofocus to suit your shoot’s needs.
