Realize the Sony VENICE’s True Potential. We rent the Sony AXS-R7 External 4K RAW Recorder to maximize the image quality available from the Sony VENICE 6K Digital Motion Picture Camera. With this recorder, the VENICE gets 16-bit RAW recording and X-OCN compressed RAW.
High-Speed Recording. This recorder can support RAW and X-OCN recording in 6K/60 fps & 4K/120 fps. Please note that not all AXS media supports these resolutions and frame rates and that additional paid upgrades may be required. If you have questions, please contact us.
30-Second Cache Recording. Never miss a moment of action with a full thirty seconds of cached footage that can be saved at the touch of a button to RAW and X-OCN formats.
Simple Installation. This recorder attaches directly to the rear of a Sony VENICE via the four hex screws at the corners of the battery plate. This rental does not include the necessary hardware to connect this recorder to other CineAlta cameras.
Firmware Compatibility. Some features of this recorder will require firmware updates to your camera. Some of these firmware updates may need to be purchased. Please check the documentation provided with your camera for specific firmware requirements. This recorder is running firmware version 4.0. If your Sony VENICE has not had the version 4.0 firmware update, it will not be compatible with this recorder.
Powered by V-Mount. This recorder has an integrated V-Mount battery plate that powers both the recorder and an attached Sony VENICE camera. No batteries or chargers are included, but we have single Anton Bauer Dionic XT90 V-Mount Batteries and an Anton Bauer Dionic XT90 V-Mount Power Kit 8-Pack available separately.
